SEND Alliance - SEND Workforce Development project
Organisation Logo For a while now LPCF have been involved with Lincolnshire County Council (LCC) and the SEND alliance in developing access to core induction skills and knowledge modules of learning for Special School and Mainstream staff.

During the process LPCF suggested that the training provided should not be restricted to staff but should also be made available to parents as part of the E-Learning process.
The SEND alliance have had the foresight, in the spirit of co-production, to accept this and approve parents access to complete the seven modules available:-

Steps 2 Change
Organisation Logo steps2change is an NHS talking therapies service for Lincolnshire. We are a part of Lincolnshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust.

At times, it is completely normal to feel anxious, low, sad, overwhelmed and frustrated. For some people these feelings can persist and have a negative impact on their life, sometimes leading to a common mental health problem such as depression or anxiety.

If you feel that you may be experiencing a common mental health problem, it is important to seek the right help sooner than later. Here at steps2change we are committed to help you with your needs. All of our therapies are recommended by National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE). NICE recommends that therapy services should provide the least intrusive, most effective intervention first. We offer a range of talking therapies tailored to meet your individual needs. They are free of charge, proven to be effective and helpful and provided by experienced and qualified professionals.

You can self-refer without the need of contacting your GP or another healthcare professional. If you prefer, you can speak to your GP first and they will be able to refer you to steps2change Lincolnshire.
When we receive your referral, we aim to ensure that you receive the support you need. You will be contacted by telephone to arrange an appointment for an assessment. Following the assessment, a decision will be reached about the appropriate treatment available for you, or you may be signposted to other services that may be of benefit to you.

Swan UK
Organisation Logo
SWAN UK supports families affected by a syndrome without a name – a genetic condition so rare it often remains undiagnosed. We are the only dedicated support network for these families in the UK and are run by the charity Genetic Alliance UK.

Our aim is that every family gets the support they need, when they need it, regardless of whether they have a diagnosis or not. We work with UK based families of children and young adults up to 25 years old who are searching for a genetic diagnosis.

Our network brings families together in a supportive community who understand the unique challenges of life without a diagnosis. We run fun events for the whole family, provide information through events and newsletters and have an extensive network of volunteer Parent Reps.

We educate professionals about the issues faced by families affected by a syndrome without a name and seek to help improve services so that all families can access high-quality coordinated care and appropriate testing or treatment.

We also champion the rights and needs of the undiagnosed community through the policy work of Genetic Alliance UK, and through initiatives such as SWAN Europe and the Solve RD Community Engagement Task Force.
