Below are details of the Question time event - i.e. Service, Representative, Role, Description. Once the Event has taken place, links to the Audio and Video recordings from Zoom will be available along with a list of questions asked and their respective recording time stamps.
After the recording has been listened to parents will then be able to add feedback to a particular question as required which will be made available to the representative who may provide a response.

Why do Lincolnshire have no NHS Sensory Integration Therapists for assessing, diagnosing and supporting SPD?

Do you believe professionals refer on to pass the issue to someone else. There has been some evidence of this identified in Mental Health with professionals making referrals that do not meet requirements?

Do you believe there is parental pressure on professionals to comply with parental wishes which may "adjust" a genuine professional’s view on referral rather than talking to a parent and being open that they do not see a strong need for referral.

Is it true that there is ONLY one specialist nurse for children with additional needs/complex disabilities for the whole of Lincolnshire when we desperately need more people with that level of knowledge and expertise?

Why are there no disability nurses offered for hospital appointments when the children are distressed?

Why do children need to wait to be seen by an Educational Psychologist for potential diagnosis of auditory processing disorder when it can only be diagnosed by specifically trained audiologists?

Have they looked into a complex case load for the paediatricians? Would like to see one appointment for different teams to attend together instead of lots of little appointments. That’s what bigger hospitals are doing and may work better for some families (but not all).

Why is there not a county wide digital platform that families with SEND can share and upload information THEMSELVES so they do not have to repeat information over and over and over again. It is detrimental to caregivers mental health to be constantly reporting using a deficit model.
