NNPCF Children and
Families Act 2014.pdf

Much has been written and said about the Children and Families Act 2014 from its fledgling beginnings as the Green Paper, up to the Royal assent in March and now during the implementation phase. The NNPCF Steering Group felt that it is now appropriate to properly establish our views about the Act. This we hope will help Forums with their own local work, but also clarify with others how we see the involvement of Parent Carers and Forums in this important phase of the process. Icon - Link

The Care Bill The law for carers (Fact sheet 8)
â€œThe Care Bill in many respects marks a quiet revolution in our attitudes towards, and expectations of, carers. At last, carers will be given the same recognition, respect and parity of esteem with those they support. Historically, many carers have felt that their roles and their own well-being have been undervalued and under-supported. Now we have a once in a lifetime opportunity to be truly acknowledged and valued as expert partners in care”
