Hil Gibb

Hil is a successful Master Practitioner and Coach in Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP), with a Masters Degree in Leadership.

She loves working with a wide range of individuals facing significant, personal challenge as well as groups of varying sizes across business and education.

Hil offers a fresh perspective, bold problem-solving and unorthodox strategies. Her main strengths lie in her ability to connect with people;motivating and developing them to think actively, flexibly and creatively. She relishes new challenges and is committed to adding value to, and facilitating the growth of individuals and teams.

She is currently the trainer for LPCF's parents workshops - "Juggling the Joys of parenting" and "Life Hacks for coping wiith change".
Holiday Activities and Food Programme (HAF)

The Holiday Activities and Food programme (HAF) is a Government funded programme that provides free holiday clubs for reception to year 11 pupils in receipt of benefits-related free school meals in Lincolnshire over the summer, Christmas and Easter holidays.

The HAF programme is designed to ensure a high-quality experience for children that will result in receiving healthy and nutritious meals and maintaining a healthy level of physical activity. Children who attend HAF develop a greater understanding of food, nutrition and other health-related issues and have the opportunity to take part in fun and engaging activities.
Children and young people attending a HAF club will also have the opportunity to have fun, meet new friends, socialise, learn new skills, encounter new experiences and gain confidence whilst enjoying happy, healthy holidays.

There are many benefits for children who attend the HAF programme. A high-quality experience that provides children with:
• receiving healthy and nutritious meals
• maintaining a healthy level of physical activity
• being happy, having fun and meeting new friends
• developing a greater understanding of food, nutrition and other health-related issues
• taking part in fun and engaging activities that support their development
• feeling safe and secure
• getting access to the right support services
• returning to school feeling engaged and ready to learn
The feedback from HAF providers, children and young people and their families has been amazing with children and young people reporting that they have tried new activities and sports, made new friends, tasted lots of different kinds of foods and learned lots of new skills.


Kids

KIDS is a national charity supporting disabled children, young people and their families.
Established in 1970, they work with thousands of families across the country each year, providing a wide range of services.
They recognise that in order to support a disabled child, they must also support their family and through their services they aim to do that.
KIDS Lincolnshire has 4 projects:
  • KIDS Targeted Positive Activities is a county wide service commissioned by Lincolnshire County Council to deliver fun youth & community sessions evenings & weekends all year round and holiday clubs during school holidays for children with disabilities age 5 -18 years. Families can self-refer.
  • KIDS Early Support & Learning Provision is a county wide service commissioned by Lincolnshire County Council running sessions from Children's centres Sessions comprise of 1-hour parent support time offering a listening ear, advice and guidance to support the family's journey and 1hr 59 minutes of respite time from their caring role whilst their child has opportunity to participate in meaningful activities with a focus on learning and development following a bespoke plan. Families can self-refer.
  • KIDS STRUT Projects Service relies on income from fundraising and parental contributions.
    After School Clubs delivered four times a week during term time.
    Offers a wide range of fun-filled and stimulating experiences, bringing exciting and creative learning opportunities to children and young people who have difficulty accessing mainstream groups.
    Activity Days during school holidays provide safe, supportive and most of all, fun experiences where the children and young people can socialise, make new friends, learn new skills, try new things increase their self-confidence and gain independence. Families can self-refer.
  • KIDS Domiciliary Care & Social Inclusion To deliver personal care in the family home to children with disabilities. Supporting the whole family.
    All children are referred through social care.

  • LCC Childrens Centres

    Children's Centres offer child and family health services, and advice and information for families. They provide stay and play sessions to support children's development, including groups specifically for Early Years children with SEND. Some centres have bookable sensory rooms which can be accessed on a 1:1 basis for parent/carers and children.

    In addition, Children's Centres can provide adult learning and volunteering opportunities, and support for parents on a wide range of issues, including the delivery of parenting programmes.

    Children's Centre Skills Development Officer
    Offers friendly and personalised information, to identify skills gaps and support parents to enter into learning, volunteering, apprenticeships and employment.

    Also provides individual support by tailoring a personal development plan for individual parents/carers, identifying next steps and supporting them to achieve their goals.

    LCC ESCO

    ESCO is committed to improving the delivery of services for children and young people aged 0 - 18 years with significant and complex additional needs who require targeted coordination of services.

    This can include:
    • Children who have a greater difficulty communicating
    • Have sensory or physical difficulties
    • Complex health needs including those with a disability
    • Babies leaving hospital with medical and other support needs
    • Children with life-limiting conditions and palliative care
    • Children with multiple and significant factors affecting their learning and development.


    All need additional support during much of their daily lives and it is probable that there will be a long term impact on their development and learning.

    ESCO keyworkers also offer support through drop-in appointments.
    These provide the opportunity for parents/carers to meet with an ESCO Keyworker to discuss the available information, services and support in Lincolnshire.

    ESCO offers a bookable one hour session by phone.

    Lincolnshire Football Association LTD

    Lincolnshire FA are the not-for-profit governing body for football in Lincolnshire. They support grassroots football to thrive by developing and sustaining new and existing opportunities across the county.

    They work with a range of local clubs and organisations across Greater Lincolnshire to offer both pan-disability and impairment-specific football, for all genders across a range of age groups.

    Special Olympics Lincolnshire

    Special Olympics Lincolnshire is part of the country's largest provider of year -round sports training and competition programme for people with learning disabilities.

    Special Olympics Lincolnshire have to date 68 athletes training in sports for people with a Learning (Intellectual) Disability in Athletics, Badminton, Handy Horsemanship Equestrian, Tennis, Gymnastics and Young Athletes Programme for 2-7 year old plus football for 8-12 12-16 and 16 plus.

    There are currently 95 Special Olympics groups in GB run by 3,500 volunteers and 6,500 athletes who all benefit from National and International sports programmes, but as there are 1.2 million people with a learning disability in the country their aim is to increase the awareness of disability sport at all levels and abilities.

    The Nystagmus Network

    They provide support and information for parents and carers of children and young people living with the eye condition nystagmus.
    They also deliver awareness raising training for teachers and support staff and hold regional in person and online meet ups, workshops and training sessions for families.

    The Working Together Team (WTT)

    The Working Together Team is a National Autistic Society Advanced Status Accredited Service, commissioned by Lincolnshire County Council to empower mainstream settings and their communities. They advocate best practice and provide specialist support to upskill staff and empower settings to ensure autistic children & young people/those with social communication differences thrive through collaborative working with families and professionals.

    Team members are skilled practitioners with specialist training and day-to-day hands on experience. In addition to staff and parent/carer training workshops, WTT can support settings to develop their autism inclusive practice, identifying the strengths and needs of their pupils and working with staff and families in school to tailor approaches considering reasonable adjustments and programmes of specific intervention, where appropriate.
