What is a Max Card
Max Cards are similar to Student Union Discount Cards but offer discounts to parents of children with Special
Educational Needs and/or Disabilities (up to 25) at a variety of venues and settings e.g. Butlins, Lincolnshire
Park Farm, Jorvik Centre, some museums, Go Ape, Bedlam Paintball, Alton Towers ....
For more detailed information please check out the Max Card website which also has an excellent search facility to
check out what is near you, or look for activities. N.B. remember you can check out what settings accept the
card at your favourite holiday destinations.
ALSO - Although LPCF are not involved, another separate scheme called CEA Cards operates for participating cinemas
and theatres
How Can I Get One?
Background
Firstly let us dispel a myth - Max Cards are NOT FREE although LPCF do issue them to some members for FREE.
LPCF and other issuers have to pay to purchase cards and all the costs associated with distribution and tracking
etc.
LPCF volunteers have sought out funding to purchase and administer issuing Max Cards via grant funding and were
successful in obtaining this back in 2017 on a trial based upon the funders targets that it would "encourage
engagement and participation of parents as well as act as a recruitment incentive for new members to LPCF".
Currently 600+ cards have been issued. From those which have been issued to date LPCF have sought
feedback and qualifying evaluation from parents so that we can ensure to funders that the grant funding did meet
its targets.
To seek future funding LPCF need any user feedback to build a new funding bid to pay for new / further cards.
Without your feedback we have no evidence to present to grant funders and the cards will eventually cease. N.B. LPCF do not replace lost Max Cards.

Please note that LPCF have recently changed the Max card application process.
We are now having to collect more written feedback to provide to funders / grant givers about what parents are
getting out of LPCF and to ensure we are engaging with parents who are actively participating.
The application form previously at the bottom of this page has now been removed.
It was also being misused by individuals who had not qualified.
In future, the only route to an application form will be at the end of one of the number 2. items listed below.
Each will measure the written Word and Character feedback count to qualify and an option box to indicate an
interest in a Max Card will then appear once qualified, which must be ticked appropriately.
The "Thank You" submission response page will then offer qualifying people an option to visit the Max Card
Application page. (This is not a guarentee of qualifing as checks are still required, so please read below.)
